Romeu Vicente holds a degree of Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), Portugal. He completed his MSc in Construction Sciences (DEC-FCTUC) and his PhD in Civil Engineering (University of Aveiro). He is Full Assistant Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal and carries out research and practice on building pathology and appraisal, rehabilitation and retrofitting, seismic vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation, GIS mapping tools, with several journal and international conference papers published in these areas. He has coordinated and is involved in the Urban Risk Mapping of various case studies at the national level: Coimbra, Seixal, Faro, Faial and Aveiro.
