resume

Tiago M. Ferreira was born on March 15, 1986 in Coimbra, Portugal. Raised in Leiria, city where he lived until 2004 when he moved to Aveiro to graduate in Civil Engineering from University of Aveiro. On July 2009, he completed a MSc degree and started working as research fellow in a joint project with University of Aveiro, University of Coimbra and Seixal City Council, dedicated to risk assessment at the old urban centres of Seixal. On December 2010 he earned a degree in Advanced Studies in Rehabilitation of Built Heritage from Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. After a brief period in ROSE School, Italy, to attend a short course on Seismic Design, Assessment and Strengthening of Masonry Structures, Tiago started his PhD studies in February 2011 under the topic of the out-of-plane seismic performance of stone masonry walls, which were concluded and unanimously approved, with praise and distinction, in January 2015.
